Questions

Mostly about privacy, because that is the part that matters most when you are handing something over to be kept.

Privacy

Who can see my memories?

Only you. Memories are tied to your account and are not shared, published, or visible to other people. Nothing you save is public by default, and there is no feed.

What happens when I delete my account?

Everything you own goes with it: your written memories, your voice recordings in storage, your typed entries, your predictions, your challenges, and your account record. The deletion cascades server-side, so it is not a matter of hiding your data from view — the files themselves are removed.

Do you use my memories to train AI?

No. Your memories are processed to produce your transcript and your story, and for nothing else. They are not used as training data.

Where is my data stored?

Rimembo runs on Google Cloud infrastructure and is operated under the GDPR and Portuguese data protection law. The full detail is in our Privacy Policy, and questions go to legal@rimembo.com.

How it works

What actually happens when I record a memory?

Your recording is uploaded, transcribed, and then rewritten by AI into a story — a readable version of what you said, in your own language. You keep the transcript and the story. It takes a few moments, and the app tells you when it is ready.

Can I write instead of speaking?

Yes. Typed memories go through the same storytelling step as spoken ones, so a written note becomes a story the same way a recording does.

What language can I use?

Speak or write in the language you think in. The language is detected automatically and your story comes back in the same one.

What are predictions and challenges?

A prediction reads across your saved memories and offers a reflective estimate about a question you ask about your own life. A challenge turns that into a commitment you track over a set period and mark as kept or missed. Neither is advice, and neither is a forecast — they are prompts for reflection.

Plans and platforms

Is Rimembo free?

Keeping memories is free — recording, transcribing and storing them never moves behind a price. The free plan covers 3 memories a day and 30 a month, up to 100 in total. Premium removes those caps and adds challenges, unlimited predictions and unwatermarked share cards.

Is there a web version?

No. Rimembo is a mobile app for iPhone and Android. This website is where you read about it and sign up for the newsletter — your memories live on your phone and in your account, not in a browser.

How long can a recording be?

On the free plan a recording can run up to 1 minute. Premium lifts that limit.
